PalawanSU marked International Youth Day (Aug 12, 2024) highlighting youth innovation in food systems. The PCSD Corner was launched to promote learning, volunteerism, and sustainability, encouraging youth to lead solutions for a better future.
The University Library and American Corner Puerto Princesa, with CAH, held a World Press Freedom Day program and launched a Book Pantry on May 30, 2024. The event highlighted press freedom, fighting fake news, and promoting reading through bayanihan.
May 15, 2025 marked the launch of ArcHUB Axis, a co-working space and mini library for PSU Architecture students. Created by PSU CAD, BLN Architecture, UAPSA-PALSU, JCI Oil, and the University Library, it supports collaboration, learning, and design.

General guidelines for the preparation of a purchase request:
- Adhere to the budget ceiling indicated in the PPMP and/or verify it with your
cluster/finance department. - Verify the titles in your shelf list to avoid duplication.
- Prioritize titles relevant to the program curriculum on your campus.
- Coordinate with your cluster on the encoding of the PR in the PSU Financial
System to generate a transaction number. - Check and verify the encoded information, such as title, author, year, and price,
before printing to avoid paper waste. - Separate the PR for items with sole distributorship and those without.

to All Programs, Section 4b. For institutions with satellite campuses, the minimum requirements for

among system-schools or consortia shall be institutionalized to maximize the use and

Implementation of PSU Library Moodle Portal for Learning, Skills Development,

We are excited to introduce Moodle, an open-source Learning Management System (LMS), as our internal
platform for learning, skills development, and micro-credentialing. Moodle will serve as a centralized repository
for training materials, support staff development, and enable micro-credentialing to recognize specific
competencies, offering a low-cost, efficient, and flexible solution for professional growth.
Purpose and Benefits: This portal aims to streamline our training and development initiatives by providing a
user-friendly platform to host online courses, store resources, track progress, and award micro-credentials.

costs for hosting and customization.

Implementation of Library Green Practices
Water Conservation: Posting of signages to remind users of water wastages in the comfort
rooms.
- Energy-Saving Technologies: Use of LED or CFL bulbs instead of incandescent bulbs. Adhere
to the PSU memo on energy-saving practices such as turning off lights when not in use, and
using aircon units during the allowed period 9am-5pm. - Green IT Practices: PSU Google Workspace unlimited storage is no longer available. Use
personal cloud storage for personal files. You may just paste the link to lessen storage space
